Transitional Kindergarten is a program designed to bridge the period of time between preschool and kindergarten. It often works well for students with fall birthdays.
The DLINC TK class is 100% Spanish instruction. This Spanish language instruction, full day schedule and small, warm community make TK at DLINC extremely unique.
DLINC TK students develop social and cultural competency, oral language, and foundational academics.
Students have carpet time early in the day, and do language and phonics activities. They have a morning recess at 9:30 a.m. after which they do number sense activities in the classroom. They have lunch and a quiet time, and then participate in art and science lessons. The classroom is equipped with a water table and a play kitchen. TK students they have ample time for exploratory activities in the afternoon. Classes run from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. TK students are eligible for our Afterschool Enrichment Program as well.
Eligibility: in the 2022-2023 School year, TK is for students who will turn 5 by February 2, 2023.
