Art and Music
DLINC embraces the importance of fine arts in the development of young minds. Our weekly TK-8 music and art instruction is fully integrated into the curriculum of each grade level. From social studies to language arts, our teachers collaborate to enrich core classroom lessons with art and music.
DLINC art lessons utilize a variety of mediums and genres, and include time exploring art history. Our music curriculum is centered on voice - students sing folk songs in Spanish, exploring Mexican culture while learning scales, rhythm, and how to sing in tune. All of our music and art instruction is hands-on, and includes field trips to local museums and performance halls. We also offer an evolving schedule of afterschool art and music-related classes and programs.
